PLM core system governance

Developing and deploying a PLM core system at corporate level requires specific governance principles and methods. This paper aims at presenting and comparing PLM governance practices that Vinci Consulting has encoun-tered on various Corporate PLM projects. It also proposes a return of experience on these practices and suggests principles that can be considered as enablers for an effective Corpo-rate PLM governance: Corporate IT services catalogue, Service Level Agreement, Balanced scorecard (COBIT), Services Oriented Archi-tecture, PLM data and services standards.
